Stressful weeks...

So much to do,
So little time.

I don’t know how to cope,
I’m trying the best I can,
I have so much going on,
I hardly have time for anything else,
but the necessaries.

I have less than a month left
till my first year, ends.
Within that few weeks,
these are the things I have to complete:

  • A lab report on ‘Gender and love styles’ (due this Friday)
  • A colloquium to attend on Saturday
  • A persuasive speech (due coming Monday)
  • A review on the colloquium (due coming Friday)
  • A ‘stress busting game’ report (due following Monday)
  • A ‘Nature VS Nurture’ report (due following Tuesday)

*Each report requires about 1500-2000 words each.

To top that off,
I have other things going on too:

  • Spiritual Formation Stay over Camp (this Saturday & Sunday)
  • Wedding Anniversary in Singapore (following Saturday & Sunday)
  • Friends birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate
  • Few scrap booking projects I’m working on (due within this week)

Now you see why I’m stressed?
Sound so little, no?
But it IS a lot.

It’s taking a toll on me,
I’m losing sleep,
I’ve got research to do for the reports,
I’ve got materials to gather for the scrapbooks,
Friends are upset at me for always going MIA,
My mood is crappy half the time.

Gah!! *Sob* Argh!! *Sniff*

the play of a lifetime.

you know the saying,
where they say,
life is a play, you are the actor, and the world is your stage
i think its true.

the drama surrounding you,
the intense emotions,
the sometimes draggy part that bores you,
the excitement that thrills you,
the situations that anger you or upset you.

the different characters you develop or meet along the way,
the different personalities that you will come in contact with,
the types that you'd fall for,
the types that you'd feel connected with,
the types that you'd want to spend time with,
the types that you'd dislike,
the types that you'd stay away from,
the types that you'd just tolerate..
YOU, have to adapt to these types,
Characters.

the different situations you'd encounter,
meeting and making new friends,
falling out with friends,
falling in love,
getting together,
breaking up,
choosing between things or people,
aiming for something,
striving for it,
acheving it,
or not acheiving it,
you win some,
you lose some,
trials and tribulations,
births and deaths,
SITUATIONS.

life as its play,
the storyline is not fixed,
not until its played out,
the scenes may change over time,
but the main character is maintained.

so, remember,
you, are the main actor of your play-your life.
you choose how you want your life to go,
you choose how you deal with the diffrent characters,
you choose how you deal with the different situations.
choose wisely, my young apprentice,
for the play is far from ending,
it has just begun,
you have so much more ahead of you,
live your life to the fullest.

Backstreet Uncles?

yes, i went to the Backstreet Boys concert! =)

asked my friends, "wanna go BSB??? *grins* "
reactions:
"*blank stare*"
"ugh. *disgusted look*"
"i cant believe u still like them.std 5 mayb, but now?eew."
"i SO wanna go!!" (a fan like me =P)

anyway..

rushed like mad to one utama,
two days before that,
went up down and round n round all over,
trying to look for the ticketing counter

on the day itself,
went to friends place after college,
had sandwiches,
got the bus to sunway,
walked round n round looking for the entrance,
finally found it =)
was waiting, only to have cats and dogs pouring,
almost fought with the ticketing people about the gate issues
waited from 5-7plus..
finally got in and ran our way to the stage
we got to stand directly behind the VIP barrier, which was quite close

waited till about 8plus9 before they came on stage
every move of the curtain,
every strum of the guitar,
every flash of the light,
brought about anxious screams from the crowd

"you know what we should scream?"
"Backstreet uncles"
"they'd remember us as the girls who called them so"
-omg! who says such things??-

anyway, there were they,
crooning their old songs,
pumping the volume with the latest..
each sang one or two songs of their own singles

from boxing wear, to suits, to casual, to hip hop, to beach..they were stunning!!

so absolutely polite and constantly smiling
from singing on the spot,
to executing some dance steps,'
to sitting at a table & playing poker and wine,
to jumping all about the stage...
wonderful!!

*show me the meaning of being lonely....lalala*

-pictures are yet to be posted up on my multiply, for more pictures from others who went:

the world today

i dont know about the rest of you out there,
but i personally find it hard these days,
just to live and to feel and to express.

how can you take pride in wonderful things you have,
when those around dont have what you do?

how can you be happy,
when those around you are always sad?

how can you feel secure,
when danger is rampant?

how can you speak your mind,
when those around you say otherwise?

how can one bring a child into today's world?
i now have doubts about my future own.
