Finding Mr.Right…in movies

i wanted to do a ‘500 days of you’
(based on 500days of summer)
but it was too obvious
so i posted it on my anonymous blog instead
yes, im a huge coward, sue me!

so this is what i came up with instead:

i noticed a pattern in the movies i love
about my hope in finding mr.right

Mr.Right Movies

Grease

• Danny Zuko, a real tough leather jacket guy who was too ashamed to be seen dating the school virgin (instead of the pink ladies) cleaned up his act and became a jock
• the guy can really hand jive!

10 Things I Hate About You

• Patrick, a rebel who was supposedly a killer, who took on a bet actually fell for her and went the extra mile for her (even if it meant embarrassing his macho-ness)
• loved the parts where he sang for her in the field and surprised her at the car park

My Best Friends Girl

• Tank, a complete ass! who had devious evil plans to make girls suffer on terribly horrible dates, fell in love with his best friend’s girl and was actually empathetic, sweet and capable of really great dates and was even willing to sacrifice his own feelings for her for the sake of his friend

A Walk To Remember

• Shane,the cool guy who made fun of the sweet religious preacher’s daughter, only to have fallen for her, went the extra miles for her and even went against his friends for her
• loved the part where he took her to the state line (silly but meaningfully sweet!)

Pride & Prejudice (a classic & a favorite!)

• Mr. Darcy who seemed so arrogant and snobbish at first, turned out to have a heart of gold and was actually struggling with how to express how he really felt for Elizabeth
• love the pained confused look in his eyes and on his face when he confessed his love for Elizabeth

Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights

• Javier, a waiter from the country club who dances like wow and manages to win one of the socialite’s hearts..he ain’t a looker, but he sure got the charm =)

Take The Lead

• Antonio Banderas's character is true CHIVALRY! pretty much what guys these days sorely lack.. and plus, the guy can pull off Latin Ballroom dancing =) (i swoon for great ballroom dancers)

so if you noticed, my ideal dream scenario with a guy would be something along these lines:

a guy who has a shady past and seems like a total jackhole…he’s too loud and obnoxious or too geeky and uncool..doesn’t get the best comments from everyone.. or had WAY too many flings/relationships in the past…

but, he turns out to be a real chivalrous person, is NOT a chauvinist…has a heart of gold, and is polite to elders..has suave dance moves to lift me off my feet…reassures me and is strict with me…tells me that im worth much more than i give myself credit for…and!-he’s willing to go the extra mile, even if its silly.
